In this book, we experimented with the procedure for designing and synthesizing LC filters using "LtAct" and the "Calculator Program Dt.exe".
gLtAct,h available from Vector, is software for designing active filters and creating filter schematics.
gLtActh can also output the coefficients of a filter's transfer function.
This book explains an experiment in which this coefficient data is used to calculate the component values of an LC filter.
This tutorial explains how to design an elliptic function or an inverse Chebyshev low-pass filter using gLtActh and calculate the component values of an LC filter based on the transfer function coefficients.
To calculate component values, we use the gDt.exe calculator programh and the gLC2in.UMFh macro.
You can verify the frequency response by entering the component values calculated using gLtSpiceh into the circuit diagram.

Design elliptic or inverse Chebyshev LC filters of orders 2 through 4 using gLtActh.
Using the calculated transfer function coefficients, the gDt.exeh calculator program calculates the component values of the LC filter via a macro.
You can enter component values into a circuit diagram for gLtSpiceh to verify the frequency response.

I've added designs for 5th and 7th order filters. I've created a macro to calculate element values using a table.

It should be easy to use as you don't need to input the transfer function coefficients.

I've also converted the macro that used the transfer function coefficients calculated with "LtAct" to the table-based method.
